Gaza: Medical updates emerging from the Gaza Health Ministry reveal a worsening humanitarian crisis following a deadly Israeli strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. According to official reports and images shared on social media, the attack destroyed a key warehouse within the hospital complex that was used to store essential medical supplies. Photographs from the scene display boxes and crates of damaged goods, including intravenous (IV) fluids—critical for emergency care in a region already grappling with severe shortages.
Dr. Muhammad Zaqout, the director general of hospitals in Gaza, reported that staff at Nasser Hospital are now operating under extreme duress. Fears are mounting among medical teams that Israeli soldiers may forcibly enter or raid the hospital, further disrupting already limited medical services.
Despite the damage, the hospital has continued to receive casualties, including several injured during bombardments of the Khan Younis area. At least six bodies were also brought in following the attacks, further highlighting the severity of the escalation.
The destruction of medical infrastructure and supplies comes at a time when Gaza's healthcare system is already on the brink of collapse due to ongoing blockades, fuel shortages, and damage to facilities.
